The best way to know if your gear is in good shape is to make a habit of inspecting the components that make up your mask and your device. Here are a few things to look out for:
Just as you would replace the tyres on your car or its cabin filter, your CPAP gear also has parts and accessories that need replacement. You should replace parts immediately if you find any damage or if they reach the following recommended replacement schedules:
AirTouch memory foam mask cushions
Air Filter. Replace more often if there are any holes or blockages by dirt or dust
CPAP air tubing
Discard and Replace
upon any visible deterioration (cracking, crazing, tears)
Mask frame
Mask headgear
Silicon mask cushions
It is recommended that you maintain and inspect your products on a regular basis, and replace any components if deemed necessary. If any visible deterioration of a component is apparent (cracking, discolouration, tears, holes, etc.), the component should be discarded and replaced.
Maintaining a routine to clean your CPAP equipment is key to ensuring comfort and longevity in your equipment.
Daily: Short tube | Elbow | Mask cushions (Silicone, AirTouch cushions)

Your mask regularly comes into contact with natural oils from your skin. Over time this can cause accelerated wear and tear on your mask, potentially compromising its seal and irritating your skin.
This is why we recommend cleaning your mask every day to make sure your equipment is working to its full potential.
Wash your mask in clean warm (around 30oC) water with mild liquid detergent, making sure you rinse all components thoroughly before allowing them to dry naturally.Make sure you do not soak the mask.
If you're running short of time, our mask wipes are a fast and easy cleaning option that can be used on any mask. Simply wipe out the mask and leave to dry naturally.
For specific instructions on cleaning your mask, please refer to your mask user guide.

After each use, we recommend that your CPAP machine's water tub is washed out with a mild detergent and warm water. Then thoroughly rinse and allow it to dry away from direct sunlight.
